Meet the Turning Point Theatre Arts team.

Gail Marie Johnstone (Principal)


Gail has danced from age of 4. At 16, she successfully auditioned for the Royal Ballet School and later continued her training at Laine Theatre Arts. After an extensive performing career, with the Swedish Ballet Company and Arlene Phillips ‘Hot Gossip’ on her list of achievements, Gail is the owner and creative force behind Turning Point Theatre Arts. Nicola Buccelli (Teacher)

Whilst training as a youngster, Nicola became a Junior Associate with the Royal Ballet School. At 16 she received a full scholarship and continued her vocational training at the prestigious Hammond School in Chester. Read more about Nicola

Holly Johnstone (Teacher)

Former pupil, Holly has achieved so much at her young age. Not only does she hold many championships, she has won endless awards and at 14 years old was crowned Britain’s most talented young circus artiste. She has been an associate with the Hammond School, SLP, Cecchetti and the BBO and trained full time at the National Centre for Circus Arts, where she gained her degree. Read more about Holly


Vicky Muncaster (Teacher)


Vicky commenced dancing at aged 2 and a half and has been teaching here since the age of 16, where she began as an apprentice.  Vicky continued her full time training on the dance course at Edge Hill University, where she gained her degree.  Read more about Vicky

Melinda Brookes (Teacher)

Melinda started dancing at the age of 2 and a half.  Aged 16, she was accepted by the Urdang Academy in London, on the full time performing arts course, but chose to continue her studies at Durham University, where she gained her degree in “Sport, Health and Exercise”. Read more about Melinda


Laura Summers (Teacher)

Laura is a former pupil of TPTA and has spent the last 10 years teaching both nationally and internationally. Read more about Laura


Chloe Dixon (Teacher)

Chloe started at Turning Point at the age of 2. She is currently finishing her Diploma in Dance Education in Modern and Tap. She recently attended Preston college studying Professional Dance and dance teaching. Read more about Chloe


Hayley Stubbs (Teacher)

Hayley has been dancing at the school since the age of 2. After attending dancing every week at TP, she then auditioned for dance universities and colleges where she chose to be a full time dance student at Preston Dance Academy/ College. Hayley graduated from Preston and University of Lancashire with a degree of honours with ‘Teaching and Dancing in the Private Sector’ Read more about Hayley

Kathy Clarke (Teacher)



Jayne Crow (Singing Teacher)

Jayne holds a BA(hons) degree in Performing Arts and is a singer and teacher of music with more than 20 years experience teaching in schools and as a singing and piano teacher under her belt.  She is Head of Creative Arts at a local secondary school and has gained a strong reputation for her choirs over the years.  Jayne can often be heard singing with her jazz band in the local area and beyond.


Geraldine Dixon (Office Manager)

Geraldine was a former pupil here at TP and her interest in dance has never left her. Geraldine completed her degree at Newcastle University in Maths and Psychology and gained her PGCE from Liverpool University. Read more about Geraldine
